First up is Ms. Jenn from Peas and Crayons for:
Today has been the best WW day so far I think :) For lunch I had a Think Thin Brownie Crunch Bar, the Lunch I had:
2 Turkey Muffins, cucumber, sweet red peppers, an egg and Yoplait Greek Yogurt in Cherry Pomegranate flavor - yumm :)
For dinner I had one whole wheat tortilla topped with ground turkey meat with homemade taco seasoning, 11 pretzel thins (one serving) and a salad with a few spritzes of Italian dressing, 10 green olives and half of a tomato - I was satisfied with my meals and tracked everything :) Life is good :)
Today I also started my mission to become a runner - I ran/walked one mile - and I will do so every day for the rest of my life - ok Im being a bit dramatic, but I plan on running every day that I am able...here is the result:
I walked for 3 minutes at 3 MPH and then ran from .14 distance to .84 distance so 7/10's of a mile or basically 3/4 I think - math is not my strong suit - anyways I ran...and this is just the beginning - I will run this until it is easy and then I plan on increasing mileage by the half...this is how I did it 5 years ago...and I know what works for me - the Couch to 5K was making me dread the gym...this way I know what to expect...Im just happy it wasnt 14 min...I can do this and I will do this :)
After the gym, I went to pick up the bug and then I was going to try to get to the pharmacy before it closed...now with everything on post - you need your military id - you need it to even get on post. I couldnt find mine. Freaked out a bit - I dont have time to deal with this! And retraced my steps - found it at the gym - which was an inadvertent bonus because Amelia got to see where mommy works out- "that is where mommy runs..." - "why mommy?" "so I can be a skinny mommy" :)
After that we went to the store real quick and of course had a photo session with some sweet peppers for Ms. Mel over at 4 Kottez :)
And now - I am showing you a before and after pic - the left hand side is November 30, 2012 and the right one is today:
I didnt think there would be such a difference, but I see it and it feels good - next up - to use the right hand picture as my next before picture :)
Ok folks, I think I need to go to sleep - I will see you tomorrow :)

ReplyDeleteI just started the couch to 5 K and we have a love/hate relationship! I would rather run at my own free will, which is what I have been doing and it has been working.

I used to leave my military id at home constantly, and my husband would literally have to leave me at a picnic table by the gate and run on post to get my id (luckily we lived close to a gate) It was awful!
