When I first started blogging I found Ms. Megan at Memoirs of Megan and Ms. Heather at Cookies for Breakfast - and I love their link up - It's nice to get some Mommy Confessions off your shoulders - so go check them out :)
My confession is that this Sunday at Church, I wasn't sure where A's development stood in regards to taking communion. She took communion when she was baptized back in June and was a rock star, so I figured I would give it a shot this past Sunday. Um, not ready. I go to an Episcopalian church and she knelt perfectly to receive the host (cracker) and then when it came time to dip it in the wine, girlfriend wanted to dip it like 12 times, so I put it in her mouth for her and we walked back to our seats. When we got to our seats, she said "Mommy, I don't like it - I want to spit it out" - well that doesn't really work for communion - so bless her heart, I told her to count to three and then swallow it - after a few minutes she said "Mommy, I swallowed it, but I didn't count to three" - so precious...so moral of the story - Baby Girl is not ready for communion and next time I will just have her get blessed...also, some of the ladies told me about Children's Chapel - I think we will try that on Sunday - fingers crossed she behaves!
Now, my 2nd link up today is Ms. Mel at 4Kottez and Ms. Laura at Walking in Memphis in High Heels for:
Now, this Mama Needs Some New Workout Gear. I am still wearing the same workout black capris I bought at Target 7 years ago - high five for lasting, but man I need some new gear - I am sure the patrons at my gym are tired of seeing me wearing my husbands t-shirts and saggy workout pants :) That is why I am stoked to see what you all have to say about wear to get some gear- this mama needs some help! When I do get running longer times/distances I prefer to wear spandex - so any cute ideas in that area would be helpful - thanks ladies!!
So, today I start week two of Couch to 5K - I'm nervous and excited all at once - I know to some of you half marathoners out there - running for a minute and a half is like easy peasy...but for this lady - I am nervous - I know that you have to start at the beginning but I am restless to turn into a runner - I know it's going to happen, it just happens slowly...ugh...but like I told my mom the other day - it took 10 years to put this weight on, it's not going to go away over night. I am focused and that's what counts. I eventually want to look like this lady:
Ha - don't we all? :)
Alright ladies and gents - see you all tomorrow :) I have to go back to work now!

So, I'm gonna comment on the work out pants. True story, I have had my favorite pair of capri yoga pants since like, 2008. I wear them daily, and........dun dun dun!!! They have GIANT holes in the thighs. Like, huge. My legs rub together, and uhm, those bad boys are 5 yrs old.
ReplyDeleteI JUUUUUST bought new ones on Sunday, but they aren't the same, and aren't nearly as drafty. ;-)
Thanks for linking, again! :)

Hahaha I SO enjoyed the church story! So funny! I grew up in a Catholic church that didn't do wine at all, so it's interesting to hear how other places do it! Too funny that she was all into dunking it into the wine ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd now I want some new workout gear. Even though I don't work out. But maybe some new clothes would help motivate me?
Thank you for linking up with us and for the intro love!
