On Saturday, I woke up early to pick up our co-op veggies - we do Bountiful Baskets - which are nationwide - check them out :) This was our loot this week:
After we picked up our veggies we came home and I did something pretty amazing - I ran outside for the first time in a very very very long time - I decided to take my Couch to 5K training outside and ran with Baby Girl in the jogging stroller:
The most amazing part about this is that I actually ended up decreasing my pace by two whole minutes - which I thought was strange because I was running outside without the treadmill and I just thought I would be slower - so running outside - super awesome...my favorite part about it was that I could tell myself "OK, don't look at the clock until you reach that lamppost..." it helped :) So, I was supposed to run this morning outside with Baby Girl again - but it was 25 degrees outside - um no thanks. So, this week I will be running Tuesday and Thursday in the gym on the "dreadmill" and Saturday morning - rain or shine, I will be running outside with Baby Girl - this way I get trained on both the inside and the outside - while I will be running my race outside - sometimes the gym is more convenient... But I felt amazing after completing my first week of the Couch to 5K - bring on Week 2 :)
After we exercised - the family got ready and the hubs and I went on a Day Date :) We went to see this:
My girlfriend watched A and we got to have a little
bit of alone time. I had been dying to see this movie and it did not disappoint. I have been seeing the play Les Miserables since I was about 8 years old. My parents were the type of parents that brought their children everywhere with them, and plays were no different. I grew up watching this certain play. We had the soundtrack on a tape (I'm so old) and my sister and I used to sing the songs - so to say I was excited about seeing this movie, that would be an understatement. My opinion? This movie is fantastic. I think that they did an excellent job - all the naysayers probably have never even seen the play. The music was so spot on that I even turned to my husband and said, this is where intermission is...this is where I would turn the tape over to side B...I explained it to him that the movie was a culmination of the best performances I had seen over the years and that Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway FOR SURE deserved their Golden Globes - their performances were amazing and I was brought to tears throughout the whole thing...so good :) Go see it if you are interested, it will not disappoint - but let me inform you - this is a musical - there is no dialogue, there was no dialogue in the play either, I wasn't expecting it and was pleased they stayed so true to the play.
OK enough about that :) So, after the movie we went to a chili cook off at my husbands rugby player teammates home - we were late and didn't get to try any but met some really nice people.
Sunday, my husband had staff duty (24 hour duty) and so A and I went to Church, lunch with a girlfriend, the Dr., and then home :) So busy -but so fun!
Baby Girl at Church
So, it was a busy but fun weekend. Alright, see you later :)

I plan on starting the couch 2 5k program when it is a little warmer out. How are you liking it so far? It is awesome that you got outside with it this weekend and decreased your pace!
